Thành lập năm 1895 và lên đại học từ năm 1966, Đại học Aston được biết đến là trường đại học nổi tiếng về chất lượng giảng dạy và nghiên cứu, theo ghi nhận về tỷ lệ sinh viên có việc làm sau khi tốt nghiệp thì trường được đánh giá là một trong số những trường tốt nhất tại Anh.
Tất cả cơ sở vật chất của trường đều rất thu hút, bao gồm khu học xá xanh riêng của trường, ngay trung tâm thành phố Birmingham, một trong số những thành phố thân thiện nhất của châu Âu. Chúng tôi tự hào có môi trường gắn bó, an toàn và thân thiện trong khu học xá nơi mang lại cho sinh viên môi trường học tập thành đạt và cuộc sống  sôi động. Khu học xá được trang bị hiện đại và thuận tiện với hệ thống máy tính và hệ thống mạng không dây, sinh viên có thể sử dụng miễn phí máy tính cũng như kết nối mạng 24h trong ngày. Tất cả giảng đường đã được tân trang trong khoảng 2 năm trở lại đây, lớp học và phòng thí nghiệm cũng được xây mới. Chúng tôi có khu ký túc xá rộng cho sinh viên ngay trong khuôn viên, đảm bảo điều kiện sinh hoạt cho sinh viên quốc tế trong thời gian học tập tại trường.

Đại học Aston cũng liên tục được xếp hạng bởi tạp chí The Times and The Guardian hàng năm. Với khoảng 9,200 sinh viên bao gồm 2,000 sinh viên quốc tế đang theo học tại trường, sinh viên đã trưởng thành trong một môi trường học tập và cộng đồng xã hội năng động và đa dạng nhưng không quá khác biệt. Hội sinh viên Việt Nam đã hoạt động thành công, tham gia nhiều các hoạt động khác nhau trong năm, bao gồm giải đấu bóng đá, chuyến tham quan và tổ chức tiệc năm mới.

LHS (Life & Health Sciences) Postgraduate Scholarship for Vietnam
The School of Life and Health Sciences is pleased to announce a new scholarship to students entering full-time MSc programmes offered by the school in 2010/11. The value of the scholarship is £5,000 to help with the cost of tuition fees.

How to apply
There is no special application process for the award. All eligible applicants will be considered for the award.
Conditions:

• Scholarships are only available for students who are self-funded.
• Students must apply for one of our MSc programmes before 31st July 2010 in order to be considered for the award.
• The award allocation will be based on the applicants record of academic excellence and on the evidence provided in their personal statement for the basis of their choice of course.
• The decision of the School of Life and Health Sciences Scholarship Panel is final.

ABS (Aston Business School) Postgraduate Scholarship for Vietnam
The Aston Business School is pleased to announce a new scholarship to students entering full-time MSc programmes offered by the school in 2010/11. The value of the scholarship is £5,000 to help with the cost of tuition fees.

How to apply
There is no special application process for the award. All eligible applicants will be considered for the award.
Conditions:

• Scholarships are only available for students who are self-funded.
• Students must apply for one of our MSc programmes before 30th June 2010 in order to be considered for the award.
• The award excludes students entering the European Master in Management Programme.
• The award will be allocated based strictly on merit given to applicants with a record of academic excellence.
• The decision of the Aston Business School Scholarship Panel is final.

EAS (Engineering & Applied Sciences) Postgraduate Scholarship for Vietnam
The School of Engineering & Applied Sciences is pleased to announce a new scholarship to students entering full-time MSc programmes offered by the school in 2010/11. The value of the scholarship is £5,000 to help with the cost of tuition fees.

How to apply
There is no special application process for the award. All eligible applicants will be considered for the award.
Conditions:

• Scholarships are only available for students who are self-funded.
• Students must apply for one of our MSc programmes before 31st May 2010 in order to be considered for the award.
• The award will be allocated based strictly on merit given to applicants with a record of academic excellence.
• The decision of the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences Scholarship Panel is final.

LSS (Languages & Social Sciences) Junior Year Abroad Scholarship for Vietnam
The School Languages & Social Sciences is offering 50% reduction in tuition fees for two students entering the Junior Year Abroad programmes offered by the school in 2010/11.

How to apply
There is no special application process for the award. All eligible applicants will be considered for the award.
Conditions:

• Scholarships are only available for students who are self-funded.
• Students must apply for one of our JYA programmes before 30th June 2010 in order to be considered for the award.
• The award will be allocated based strictly on merit and given to applicants with a record of academic excellence during the first two years or more of their undergraduate programme.
• All applicants will be subject to the standard requirements for IELTS or similar qualification.
• The decision of the School of Languages & Social Sciences Scholarship Panel is final.

Aston University International Scholarship for Vietnam
The International Office has one £5,000 scholarship available for a successful applicant to their new International Scholarship for Vietnam.

How to apply

Applicants must submit an application in the form of a 500 word essay outlining why they would benefit from the scholarship and the difference it would make to them as well as why they would be a suitable person to work with the International Office to share their experiences at the University and help promote Aston to future students.  

Conditions

• Scholarships will take the form of a reduction in tuition fees.  
• Applicants must be deemed full overseas fee payers and either a national of Vietnam or ordinarily resident in Vietnam for the last 3 years.  
• Applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a one year postgraduate programme of study commencing at Aston University October 2010.
• Applicants agree to work with the Aston University International Office to share their experiences of application, arrival and study at the University in the form of regular updates which may take the form of student profile, newsletter articles, student blog etc. to be advised by the International Office.
• Applicants must submit an application in the form of a 500 word essay outlining why they would benefit from the scholarship and the difference it would make to them as well as why they would be a suitable person to work with the International Office to share their experiences at the University and help promote Aston to future students.  
• The closing date for scholarship applications will be Friday 31st July 2009 and the decision of the panel will be final.
• The successful scholar will be notified within 2 weeks of the closing date.
